Sport Facilities
We are
very lucky to have a spacious purpose-built hall (14m x 9m) which is used
for all school activities and some community activities.
There
is a large green area surrounding the school building, suitable for all
sport in Spring and Summer.
Our
school was chosen as a participant in the Buntús Sports programme and has an
excellent stock of different sports equipment.
The
large tarmacadam area has playground markings for various games and is
suitable for all ages.
The
local G.A.A field, Shanahan McNamara Memorial Park is always available to
the school.
Local
businessman Tommy Tubridy has made his all-weather astro turf pitch
available to us throughout the year.
Pupils
who are members of the local St.John’s Athletic Club have had regular
success, winning many honours including schools, inter-club, provincial and
All-Ireland medals. |
