Tommy is a native of Doonbeg; educated
at Doonbeg National School and Ennistymon C.B.S. He is married to Ann and
has four children. Tommy's contributions to Doonbeg are many, in fact,
he was the first Chairman of the Doonbeg Community Development and
essentially put that structure in place in 1981.
Tommy has always been a man of vision and
determination. It was his initiative that got projects such as the retention
of the post office, village lighting, signposting, road improvements and the
sewage scheme started. With the great teamwork that is evident throughout
the Board, he and the other members of the Board of
Doonbeg Community Development saw these projects through to completion and
have helped to create the fine village that Doonbeg is today.
