The Doonbeg Lotto in its current format started in 1998. This followed on from the Bingo Lotto that had run for numerous years prior to that.
Proceeds from Doonbeg Lotto are divided between the Community Hall, Doonbeg Football Club and Doonbeg Community Development. It is the main source of income for Doonbeg Development which funds our Christmas Event for all the schools of the parish, the Christmas lights and trees, the activities of Doonbeg Tidy Towns, as well as part funding the running of the Doonbeg Development office.
The draw takes place every Monday night in one of the pubs in the village.
There have been 17 jackpot winners since the start – the most recent being Ann Moroney from Moyasta on 10 December 2012.
Tickets €2 and can be purchased from the Post Office, Shops and Pubs in Doonbeg as well as from designated sellers.
Annual membership can be purchased from DCD office for €90.
